Well this "old grey mare" just finished her 2nd retreat climbing up the stairs literally on all fours❣️. I must tell you each time I made that climb it was WELL WORTH IT❣️ My 1st retreat was filled with many intrusive thoughts & fears yet the fallow ground was broken & I was able to get through the non-dominant handwriting. My letter to the little girl was matter of fact almost reminding me of "religious trite garbage" even though there was truth to it. I still didn't love the little girl. I was a bit freerer & more relaxed after the experience but had a long way to go. I left feeling grateful & full of excitement to attend my 2nd one in 2023. That's been accomplished & I can't totally express what an experience it was. Hearing the teaching a second time was amazing as I heard things I don't remember hearing the first time around. This retreat MORE SEEDS OF HEALING WERE PLANTED IN THE SOIL OF MY HEART ♥️. HALLELUJAH OUR GOD IS TOTALLY AWESOME. The non-dominant handwriting went well for me cause I wasn't afraid having already experienced it. When I finished I was so angry & needed to take time to calm myself before I could even write to my little girl. It wasn't until later that night that I sat down to tell her how much I just wanted to hold her and tell her how sorry I was that she endured the abuses she had gone through. My first letter had about 16 lines on the stationary we were given; BUT my second letter filled both sides of the stationary. I am now loving her more and more and have a deeper understanding of why it has taken so long for her to truly heal. Understanding much better how trauma affects the brain, I now have a better handle on how to recognize "THE LIE" and SPEAK TRUTH TO IT AND MOVE INTO SURRENDERING IT TO ABBA! What a dynamic experience this April retreat was for me. "Line upon line precept upon precept." How grateful I am that ABBA IS SO PATIENT WITH ME.HE TRULY SEE ME WITH MERCIFUL EYES.
